Sandals Resorts seek out gorgeous locations on some of the most known, and unknown, islands of the Caribbean. Let me tell you, the beaches in the US have their perks and I've enjoyed my trips to them, but, there is nothing like the blue of the Caribbean Sea! If you've seen it, you know what I mean!
Sandals all-inclusive resorts know what they are doing when it comes to accommodations. Room layouts range from well-sized with a king bed to outstanding floor plans with 2 levels or even over the water.
When Sandals boasts all-inclusive, they mean it.
Any restaurant or bar you step into, no matter what room you are staying in, is included in the price you pay, and you have much more to choose from than just buffets. Your service on the beach or in a pool chair is great, with everything still unlimited as well. Every room has a stock of beer in the fridge and bottles of wine to enjoy. Sure, Sandals has a club & butler level giving you more amenities within your room. This is a given with any resort chain you choose; they all have options to upgrade. But when it comes to Sandals service, I haven't found anything better. It's worth the money I spent.

Sandals has 3 levels of accommodations, Luxury, Club & Butler. I have tried all 3. Here's a quick little breakdown:
Luxury: All meals, all drinks (premium brand), all unlimited. In-room bars stocked daily with soda, water, beer & wine. Direct roundtrip airport transfers. Nightly entertainment, unlimited land sports. A no-tipping policy. King-sized beds with Egyptian cotton linens. Those are just the basic highlights I think people typically look for. There's more!
Club: All of the above from Luxury level AND all-day room service from 7 am - 10 pm. Exclusive Concierge lounge with dedicated staff. Premium liquors are stocked in-room bars as well.
Butler: Everything from Luxury level AND 24-hour room service along with a butler trained by the Guild of Professional English Butlers. A smartphone to reach your butler as well as in-room check-in upon your arrival. Premium liquors are stocked in the room as well.

As I mentioned before, I have tried out all 3 levels. Even the luxury level, for a room with a view, can be quite pricey. Then for some of the resorts, the only view available for luxury-level rooms is garden or resort views. But don't let this steer you away from Sandals because if you are the type of traveler who spends little to no time in your room, then this is perfect for you! If you intend to enjoy the resort from sun up to sun down, your room view and amenities mean very little. Other than seeing a butler occasionally serve someone near you, you won't notice a single thing different!
I'm not ashamed, I'm a bit of a princess when I travel. I like the front of the plane (I get motion sick), I like a big hotel room with a king bed (I'm the sleeping-in type who is known to read for a few hours before leaving my room), and having a view is important to me (after spending so much time staring at snow in North Dakota). So yes, I'm a tad biased when it comes to what room type I select when I visit a Sandals Resort. However, after enjoying every level, I can tell you that they are ALL worth it! Between the gorgeous beach, amazing food & kind, friendly service, you won't regret choosing a Sandals Resort. Whether you decide to save up and make it a once-in-a-lifetime trip or go for shorter amounts of days to be able to visit more than once, you'll be happy you did.
My adventures with Sandals Resorts haven't ended. I'm headed to the location in Barbados in March with 2 other couples. Experience is definitely something I can add to your travels within a Sandals resort. Please ask, I love discussing them! nicole@partofthatworld.com or Nicole - Part of That World Vacations on Facebook.
